P , SISTER MARY ROBERT RETURNS from Marillac College where she spent the summer teaching. The schedule for the coming year does not just happen. It is meticulously planned by Sister to fit the requirements of every sister and student in the school. As soon as she can unpack, she will start the big job of managing the affairs of over 180 girls and many sisters, but no one could be more capable than she.

'ZFFf57 .if'??ff?'3YW'1?. iii rf 5-:qs-yrs-:rss .1 'Q Foreword To crystallize the spirit of our academy and to change it into a mem- ory to treasure forever by portraying it in the setting of our senior year, is the purpose and aim of Memoirs The pages of Memoirs contain names, ideals, and dreams that have seen reality. It is the story of the faculty and students whose efforts have gone into the life that is D.P.A. in 1959. As the years go on and we take time to look back, a glance will reveal precious memories enshrined in our yearbook depicting the supreme moments in the grand pageant of our senior year and illuminating the pattern, time-faded on the wall of memory. The members of the senior class of 1959 look back with fond recol- lections of their last year of high school and clearly see their life as a senior, progress on its Way to graduation through the magic of the fol- lowing years. Years from now, our own poor memories will grow dull and uncer- tain, and happenings which meant everything to us may become vague and misty. Even the memory we treasure most, the winning of the cherished Miss D.P.A. crown will fade away and almost die. Then, we shall come across our written MEMOIRS tucked lovingly away in some special corner with all the souvenirs of high school, and we shall re-live all the richness of those happy years. We wish to express the appreciation which we owe D.P.A. for the inspiration of the finer life and can think of no better tribute to our school than this book, MEMOIRS.

THE MOTHERS' CLUB PLANS its activities for the year under the careful guid- ance of the officers of the club: Mrs. Meenan, Mrs. Rotunda, Mrs. Vollero, and Mrs. Pizutto. SISTER AGNETA organizes her schedule to co-ordinate with Sister Mary Robert's. Sister Agneta is superior of the house and must plan a schedule for all the sisters.
