Janeis car, when it finally arrived was always crowded to capacity. She not only brought fellow students to school from her vicinity, hut made many early morning trips for neighbors. Joan, Marie, Dolores, and Mary Ann were daily passengers. Then, very abruptly, we found ourselves in the midst of a car strike. What were we to do? Some girls just couldnit make connections. So-if they cared to sleep on army cots, Sister thought she could put them up for a few nights which turned out to he many weeksg but Mary Ann, Virginia, Mary Mar- garet, Janie, and Carole seemed to en- joy boarding. Mary Margarefs birthday conveniently happened during boarding season and gave the girls an excuse for having a party of their own.

If picture time runs over lunch hour, he is always ready to help schedules by having a snack and then back to work. Mr. Cardell as he had an early afternoon appointment.
