BASEBALL SUMMARY Dinubo Emperors baseball team still had league games to play with Sanger, Lemoore, Kingsburg and Fowler as this summary was written. The activity in the Central Sequoia League served as a finaie for th diamond pastime. Playoffs were not a part of the baseball program for the l958 season. Coach Pete Estrada met with a representative group of baseball pras- pects as the season got under way. The squad was not great as to numbers, but there were candidates who had some previous experience at most posi- tions. The Emperors opened with a ll to 7 win over Orosi. They played Exeter under rain laden skies and scored 6 runs to 3 for the Monarchs. ln a return game encounter at Orosi the Dinubo team repeated with a 6 to 3 run ffort.
