The Sohpomores gave us our initiation party which we all survived nicely. Estheranne Brassington was our candidate for football queen. We started our Sophomore year with Morris Marsh as President, Leslie Grable, Vice President, Dixie Rozell, Secretaryg and Wilma Caruss, Treasurer. Student Council representatives were Estheranne Brassington and Donna Watson. we had our turn at initiation the Freshmen! This time we selected,Betty Holliday as our candidate for football queen At the beginning of our Junior year Bruce Ankney was our President. He left us after a few months and Donna Watson took over. Morris Marsh was our Vice Presidentg Spencer Jakeway, Sec- retary, Estheranne Brassington, Treasurer. For our Student Council members we choose Leslie Grable and Gloria Palmer. Dixie Rozell was chosen our representative for football Queen. We also put on a play our Junior year, VCheaper by the Dozen.N The true story of the Galbraith family. Gary Cheadle played the father who was a world renowned efficiency expert. Berneta Brown was the mother of the large, brilliant and active family. Our Junior prom, nStairway to the Stars,V was put on in honor of the Seniors on May lL. Grable Class Plays 3,A Student Council 3 Physical Education Student Instructor A School Paper l Football 2,3,A Basketball l,2,3,A Baseball l,2,3 Track l,2,3,A Track Club 3,A Band l,2,3,A Class Officer 2 Football King A In our best and last year Spencer Jakeway was our President, Gary Jordan, Vice President, Dixie Rozell, Secretary, Morris Marsh, Treasurer, and our Student Council representatives were Cheryl Dalton and Donna Watson. Leslie Grable was chosen as football king and Cheryl Dalton as homecoming queen. This year's play was UNO Boys Allowed,N a comedy in which Leslie and Morris tried to break up the girl's slumber party, resulting in many exciting and amusing situations. Cheryl was hostess, and Donna, Berneta, Edith, Wilma, and Gloria Wright were guests. David and Gary Cheadle came to protect the girls. Larry Brownell was the brave police officer and Gary Jordan, the sneaky thief. Dixie Rozell as the colored cook, added to the hilarity. Our Senior year ended with our plane trip to New York on May 23 where we spent three days seeing the sights of our biggest city. This trip included the Chorus and the Band. The second trip was made to Sunfield and Woodland Schools. The trip to the annual Olivet Band Festival occurred on April 26. Our two concerts there were very successful and enjoyed by over four hundred people. Our clarinet quartet entered the State Contest at Ann Arbor where they received a two rating which was considered very good.
