STUDENT COUNCIL Sitting B Ackney H Moore J ven Dyke cvi Pr ld z v gPa3::e6:?es1dentD,,G Noble Sedretary and Treasures, in wirre Standing R Bayles J J h lk x D D slum C Holla Mr ac a e, alton, N Griffith C Smith E Ireland M Troub C Ever The student council of Dimondale High School had its beginning in the spring of 1947 The first year was devoted mostly towards organization This year the student council has had the backing and confidence of the student body and faculty The student council took over the responsibilities of putting on several assemblies and high school parties Among the performers acquired for these assem blies were a Glass Blower, Russian Speaker, Magician, and G W Mc Intosh and his monkeys Also the student council sold pencils with the Basketball schedules on them and with the proceeds they bought the Cheerleader's uniforms This year the student council is planning to hold another car eer day program Last year Potterville and Vermontvills participated dn this program with us, which was very successful and we hope this year it turns out the same Speakers from different Vocational fields are going to be secured and classes are going to be held so that the student can get as much information out of this program, as possible In the spring we're planning another high school party which all of the students want and enjoy The officers of the student council are Verlon Graham, President Gertrude Noble, Secretary Jim Van Dyke Vice President, Mr Beutler, Advisor These officers have done a grand Job in making the student council such a success 6 0 b - 3 .
