LeNora Poe Mary Nelson 1 Billy Gregory and Dalia Twiner, -1952 football king and queen. were crowned Friday night, Oc- tober 10, during the half-time 'ceremonies of the Dimmitt-Spring- 'lake football game. 3 The open convertible carrying lthe king and quecn drove under ia purple and gold arch formed by ithe Dimmitt and Springlake pep squads. It then drove under an arm at the north end of the field formed by the Dimmitt Glamor- ettes. The Springlake band formed Y a crown at the south end of the' field. The Dimmitt Bobcat Band formed a heart in the middle of' the field and played a fanfare as the queen and attendants march-i 8d,LQ the center of the heart. The queen and attendants then' left the field and were seated on a throne as the band played I'll Devil lnvades D You better watch out, the devil will get you if you don't watch out-and that is exactly what happened at the pep rally Friday afternoon. It proved to be the best and the most spirited pep rally of the year. It opened with the band playing Queen City and then the cheerleaders the stu- 'dent body in some yells.
