Department of Guidance MRS. M. D. GRADY Chairman The Guidance Department of Dillard High School is composed of two counselors and one secretary. Mrs. M. D. Grady is the full-time counselor for grades 10 through 12. Mrs. H. K. Barnett is a part-time counselor for grade 9. Her other duties are performed at Carver Middle School. The guidance counselors work as coordinators in a school. All guidance programs should be different to meet the needs of each individual school. The guidance department serves as an aid in helping the individual develop a realistic picture of himself. Also, help him to make decisions for the future. It also encourages the individual to progress as far as his abilities and intellect will let him. Too, it provides information about the individual which will help him find a successful career. Mrs. Pittman takes notes as Mrs. Grady (seated) and Mrs. Barnett (standing) counsel.
