Through four hard years we, the 1959 seniors, have pushed upward to the level upon which we now stand. We, through our experiences, have learned to cling to that which is good, and for that reason we think ourselves qualified to hold the title Seniors. With each passing moment we come closer to the day on which we shall leave the Blue and Gold. To capture all of our wonderful moments at Dillard High School would be impossible, but we cannot leave without a memento as a stimulant in recalling these our last days. Here is The Dillardite. We hope you will cherish it as we in the background have loved preparing it for you. We hope that not only at the present, but in years to come, this book will be a treasured keepsake and that it will recall many happy occasions.
