Johnson School Creed XYe helieve in our school as an institution so organized and carried on as to give to boys and girls a triple training that is necessary for a well- rounded life. NVe believe firmly in the coordinate training of the head. the heart. and the hand, for though each one is necessary. neither can he of great use alone. VVe believe that a life worth living must embody mental satisfaction. industrial pursuits, and a spiritual outlook, therefore, our various sull- jects and activities have been so planned and selected hy us and our elders as to ultimately develop one or more sides of our educational tri- angle. XVe pledge that in all our endeavors we shall strive to grow mentally. physically, and spiritually strong, for we know that only such a triple development can lnake a real life, and in the final analysis a true Ameri- can citizen. en -Q' LET'S HAVE THE BEST SIIIIOOIX' By Lucy li. .,.,,.r. . T., ,1 Prineipalis Message March 29, i947 The Editors of The Dillarditcs: To Mrs. Alma XV. Minnis, Class Sponsor, all teachers who have taught members of this class. or who have in any way aided in the production of this Annual, and finally, to the Class of 1947, the Principal extends his most cordial congratulations for this melnorahle production. Nothing more thoroughly interprets the spirit of the school to the Puhlic as does its literatureg and this Annual graphically epitomizes all that has been written of the an- nuals of this Class for the past four years. For many years to come, Inemhers of this class as well as others who might read these pages, will refresh in their memory the cheery faces of a happy group of real Dillard- iles who gave to their school and community so delightful a gem of real literature which should inspire succeeding QCII- erations to emulate their example. May the Cod of peace and universal understanding keep you in the stream of eternal learning and guide you to the hcst and highest standards of cultural and spiritual develop- ment which shall ultimately lead to universal peace and in- ternational hrotherhood among all the peoples of the world.
