x .0 4 50 2 Business courses at D. H. S. are taught by Shirley Wilson and Marlene Bevill. The fol- lowing business education courses are of- fered: accounting, Typing I, computers, and O. T. L. Brenda Deere said, O, T.L. has really taught me a lot about business. Typing and office machines ha ve really been a great help to me. Karen Frachiseur said, Accounting has taught me more about business. Laura Holloway said, Typing has helped me pre- pare for my future plans in business. F.B. L.A. has helped the Howard County foster children at Christmas and has also helped the March of Dimes. One of the club 's main purposes is to de- velop leadership ability. Another main ob- jective is to encourage students to partici- pate in testing programs by the state. Mrs. Wilson said, One of my desires is to help prepare my students to be outstanding lead- ers of tomorrow. Paula burned up the keys on the l.B.M. Shane Moore made a speech at the F.B.L.A. induction. X I . 6' 4 50 The instructor of the home eco- nomics department is Mrs. Virginia Taylor. Several home economics courses are offered such as clothing, family living, foods, and Home Ec. I. These classes are offered to help the student understand the importance of homemaking. Randall Allen said, Family living class was a very enjoyable learning ex- perience. President of Future Home- makers of America, Susan Turner, said, I have enjoyed working with Mrs. Taylor and other F.H.A. members. It has helped improve my leadership po- tential. Dana I.inville is a student in Home Ec. I. She said, Mrs. Taylor has taught me to respect other people. Rashael gladly accepts the F.H.A. rose. Kerry and Stephanie can 't decide which one should serve the cake Mrs. Taylor takes one last look at the refreshment table.
