The comedy ploy. Blithe Spirit brought loughter os Jeff Meod. Jeon Woldero. Kristi Scheeler. ond Julee Lundberg performed. BLITHE SPIRIT” British humor is the DSC stoge in Noel Coword’s ‘Blithe Spirit”, in the Stickney Auditorium. This ploy is one of the most stoged British comedy ploys. This is o play in which the audience con sit bock ond enjoy the characters. The funniest port was how quickly the characters ond audience accept the changes raking place. The idea of ghosts ond mediums becomes common ploce, said Director Peter Mellen in his first production at DSC. 28 Dorcy Becker performs with Jeonine Deaudoin In o love scene.

COUNTRY AND WESTERN JAMBOREE Dickinson Stole College's Scott Gym wos transformed info Dickinson's very own ’Grand Ole Opry' this year os oreo talent competed in the 17th annual Country-Western Jombo- ree. More than 55 acts competed in categor- ies of male vocalist, female vocolisf. bond, instrumentalist, vocal group and novice. The grand prize winner, as determined by the performance judges (Orion Fischer. Mary Will- son. ond Ray David) receives the Archie N. Hill Country Music Award, an oll-expense- paid trip to Nashville. Tenn. The jamboree started with afternoon audi- tions on Thursday and Friday os the three audition judges (Anne Marie Granier. Marv Allen and Deb Sebastian) weeded out the tolent for Friday and Saturday night's perfor- mances. It came to an end Saturday night as the judges made their selections of the top performers. The Country-Western Jamboree is the lar- gest source of income for the DSC Rodeo Team and is put on in cooperation with the DSC Ag Club. The Tibor Brothers provide their talents os the backup band for both the auditions and performances, while rodeo onnouncer Jim Thompson wos the jamboree's master of cere- monies. 30
