Student Life: Finding Your Own Style: The center of college life is academic. The concentrate of time is spent in the classrooms, library and labs. As in the outside world, work is important and central. The use of free time can form as many experiences and relationships as the classroom. The college years offer a rare opportunity to discover our real identity and choose values that become a base for life. At DSC the individual is valued and human personalities are cultured to provide and atmosphere that is stimulating and responsive. Being a member of different organizations has given me a good look as to how things are run and the different problems people encounter. Darlene Heck Senior Campus Life: Living On Your Own 7 have received a personal satisfaction from being involved in various activities. I have enjoyed meeting and working with different kinds of people. I believe there would be happier people. believe le in the world if they would lake time to participate in the activities around them. Curt Stockert Junior Residence hall living provides students a chance to learn about their own wants and needs by living with others. Providing an environment that will help students adjust to academic life is of primary importance to our program in the residence halls. Taking time to deal with students on an individual basis. I feel, is the most re- warding aspect of my job. Bob Neal Head Resident Klinefelter My dorm is my home. People are around if you want or you can be alone. It's close to all the campus facilities. I can make any class in five minutes. Tammy Gjermundson Senior Those who choose to live in the residence halls take advantage of the good location and independence of lifestyle. Resident life centers on DeLong Hall and Woods Hall for women along with Selke Hall and Klinefelter Hall for men. A family student housing complex is available for those with special needs. All are equipped with facilities for comfortable, away from home living.
