Dedication William L. Wilks The Class of 1978 takes great pleasure in dedicating this year's edition of RES IPSA LOQUITUR to William L. Wilks, sixth dean of the Dickinson School of Law. Dean Wilks graduated from Yale University and received his J.D. degree from the Uni- versity of Michigan. He also holds an L. L. M. from George Washington University. After two years of military service, Dean Wilks entered private practice in Indiana until 1970. At that time he became a member of the Law School faculty. In 1974, he was appointed Assistant Dean under the late Edgar I. King. At Dickinson, Dean Wilks teaches courses in advocacy, evidence, insurance, and torts. He is Reporter for the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, has served as consultant to the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission, and was advisor to the recent Motor Vehicle Code Revision Project. He is also active in numerous civic and community organizations. Dean Wilks' energetic and responsive man- ner enables him to fulfill the demands of his position and to meet the needs of both the faculty and students. We wish him the best in the years to come.
