l l yi 'i .ZS :.l -...l....IiKA1Z..S43. ,BTL 1 Q I l e ll lil .ff 7 .f 7, 'f 7 7 the first timIe,i graduating class of'the Dickinson School of Law has attempted an independent year-book, separate and apart from the c-ollege. The trail has been blazed. A foundation for the satisfaction of along keenly-felt need has been laid. Upon this foundation a most imposing edifice may be built. Through the years, it may be changed in form, altered in appearance, embel- lished in structure, finishedin detail to keep abreast of the onward march of Z Z Z Z Z H Z Z 3 Z 2 Z ff Z D' Z f 'D Z U' Z fb Z Z nv Z Z rv Z w M - W Z 'D in E 5' -- QV 76? Others may emulate us, yea, even to .the point of excelling, but the laurel wreath of the pioneer must always remain for the class' of 25. Z For the realization of this ideal, the-class of '25 mis, indeed, grateful to those who have contributed to its success. It thanks the ' advertisers for their ma: terial support, the undergraduates for their encouraging response, the alumni for their stimulating concern and the faculty for their most valuable suggestions and advice. It takes this opportunityfito congratulate the Commentator staff whose untiring dauntless efforts havemade it possible. Humble, as this publica- tion may be, considered in the light of the most serious handicaps under which innovators of all movements must labor plus the discouraging pressure of fast fleeting time Cwork not having been started until late in Marchj much more than was expected has been accomplished. - 35 f In this an.nual, the class sings its swan song. Of it, it is justly proud. Were this all that it had given, it would depart happy in thought that it was leaving the institution the better fortits stay. j But pens more .able than mine, on var- ious pages in this book, give evidence that this fis ,fare from all. With the Smoker and the Senior Prom, it has demonstrated thatpproperly managed, the social life of the school can be made both feasibleffinancially, salutary in its distraction, and highly profitable in thepromotion and cultivationof friendships among the students in general who might, otherwise, remain merely nodding ac- quaintances throughout their courses. Not litftle is to be gained by the adduc- tion of a free familiar intercourse andithe. ,.,, consequent, exchange of' ideas and ideals. ' ' ' - . . -And, now, the season is drawing to a rapid' close. I The curtain is slowly Z falling for the last time. The audience is stirring to depart. The class of '25 has fretted its hours upon the stage. The members will soon doff their masks to fill more pretentious roles in the great master piece Life. May next sea- son s offering far outdo ours. Ensemble .rn that same cast, no stage will ever Z gg see usagain, but, from time to time, individually, we may be called back to Z play some fitting part in the annals of Trickett Hall. Jointly, we must say if good bye, but, severally, may it only be au revoir. JOHN B. BARATTA, Z' Q Pres.
