Class H istopf Seventy-eight of the 94 freshmen, who enrolled in the fall of '55 have attended DCCHS all four years. By the close of the first year the class lost six members. As sophomores the class lost five more and gained Joyce Schroeder and Howard Hines. The iunior year the class lost five and gained five--John Brooks, Fern Frey, Beth Middleton, Dennis Olsen and Larry Shivers. A loss of two the senior year and no gains makes the present class total of 84. The class held its annual gumpstew each year at the Chapman City Park. The class was accompanied by its sponsors who have included: freshman-Mrs. Paul Cassat and Ed Grosser, sophomore-Miss Charlene Mordy and Dale Relihan, iunior-Miss Loretta Sawin, Ed Grosser, and Dale Livengood, senior-A.D. Hassler, Don Miller, John B. Reed, and Miss Charlene Mordy. This year the class of '59 presented the annual class nite which was entitled Mardi Gras. All seniors helped to make this production the best ever. The one big feature was the large backdrop made from over lO0,00 paper napkins. The senior picnic was held in Salina at the park. All enjoyed the boat riding.
