Founded in 1789, the group meets twice a month to discuss current events while practicing customary parliamentary procedure. Unified with the Intercollegiate Conference on Govern- ment in 1951, the Union Philosophical Society represents Dickinson each year at the intercollegiate conventions which work as model state legislatures. This year they attended conventions at Harrisburg and Hershey. Among other activities, the group had two'political speakers, one from each party, talk at their meetings. Z 11 H . It is associated with the Association of International Rela- tions Clubs which is a national organization. The meetings usually include formal papers offered by faculty members or students. Informal discussion follows. The Dickinson Club has aided in the creation of the state organization which now contains over twenty International Relations Clubs.
