The program of the Student Senate this year has been an attempt to achieve the objectives set forth in the new Constitution of the Student Body. This program included the revision of the Freshman Rules Program, a Student Leadership Conference which brought closer Co-operation between the various student groups and a better understanding of campus problems, a broad- ening of the representation and powers of the Senate through a new constitution, and the establishment of several working student committees to broaden the scope of the governing body. ln these and many other ways, the student governing body has proved its value to the entire campus. Social lhnnnutee The Social Committee, a subcomittee of the Student Senate, is composed of a representative from each fraternity and independent group on campus. This group makes suggestions for revising the social rules of the college, and, in particular, plans the Homecoming Dance, the lVIid-Winter Ball, the Spring Formal, the Commencement Ball, and the Jazz Concerts. It is through the able plan- ning of this organization that the students of l i'i: Dickinson are able to enjoy these weekends. Standing, L. to R.: R. Brasler, J. Kenney, H. Ledgard, T. Wright, C.
