Let us stop for a few moments at the office of the jersey Herald where Larry Geraghty is Editor-in-Chief. Frank Cadden has charge of the draw- ings and joseph Miller is editor of the Sport page. Dorothea Abel writes the Society News and William Chambers helps with the cinema column. As we leave, Donald Sammond drives past and waves a greeting from his yellow car, reminiscent of days at school. We come to the new hospital where Betty Casssidy and Kathleen Phillips are M.D.'s Florence Hegewald, now head nurse, welcomes us and her assistants Kathleen Bergin, Frances Cocco, and josephine Gumina form an eager group around us. Adjoining it is a new high school where Loretta Gasteyer, a college graduate, is organizing a girls' basketball team and Margaret Moore is a starting a tennis class. Sydne Winfield is the sports-writer for their school paper. Before we leave the neighborhood, let's revisit our old school. Here we see Cecilia Coleman entering the olTice and signing the teacher's register before going to class. She likes her position and enjoys teaching at our Alma Mater. Leaving the business section on our way to the airport, we pass a new residential district. Here is a modest home with a sign Piano Instructions in the window. Antoinette Criscitiello is trying to divulge her knowledge of the music Masters to Mollie Tauber, a student. Nearby is a cozy home where Robert Marshall lives. l-Ie is happily married and has a charming wife. We drop into his den and see a collection of old swords and learn their history. Reluctantly we leave for Newark Airport, where we are to take our plane home. On the field we discover our class president, john Douglas, who now has his own plane. fBy the way, john, what happened to Old Reliable ?j Bernadine Yeplar is here, too, learning to fly. john Walczak and joseph Lapkiewicz are to be pilot and co-pilot of our plane. This indeed has been a pleasant trip and we enjoyed seeing our old friends once more. We are happy to know that they are advancing so rapidly in their chosen fields, and that they still enjoy visiting each other talking over the good times they have had at dear old D.A.E.l-LS. Here it is 1946! We are amazed at the many changes and new develop- ments in the city of our youth. We intend to visit the new buildings and explore them. We start at the bank on the corner. Catherine Imhof, and Mildred Bonner are holding similar responsible positions Next we see a Photograph Studio with Adrian Bomert in charge assisted by Frank Marion. john Meyer is at the head of the developing department because he knows how to mix the chemicals used. Where is Theron Templeton? We walk down the street and find a Travel Agency exhibiting new ship models made by Charles Karski. Maria Ehrig, the globe-trotter, is showing joseph Cleary several interesting leaflets helping him decide which trip to take. Hans Simonsen wants information on the in's and outs' of traveling on a sailboat, while Tom Hartnett would like to take a schooner to mid-ocean where he can try his luck at fishing. fWe can't see your infectious smile way out there, Tom.j Lucille Von Dohlen, we are informed, is taking a much needed rest cruise after her years of hard work and study. We must not overlook the new Library. Here Frank Walsh is compiling a list of the books that constitute a good home library collection, while Margaret O'Loughlin are busy browsing among the newly arrived fiction. Eugene De Martini is a frequent visitor devouring all books on the subject of Knowledge and how to acquire more of it. Kathryn Tighe, the Librarian, directs his choice. We cross the street to the modern theatre to see if we can find any of our old friends and acquaintances. Vaudeville and one picture now constitute the entertainment instead of the double feature films we remember. Some of our old class-mates are on the stage and in the audience. The stage perform- ance opens with a dance by Tom Blake, followed with a few piano selections by Vera Krumpa. The next act brings joseph Lonati, a tap dancer. He is going bowling after the performance, else he would accompany us on our trip. The audience is generous with its applause to our friends.
