i) i ' ii i nr i ii i MISS CATHERINE SUTHERLAND To one who has added much to our school life deserves the highest honor we can bestow upon her. Miss Sutherland came to us in our sophomore year. Her unfailing generosity in giving of her time and her vast understanding of our problems and her in- terest and willingness to give sound advice are but a few of the contributions of one of the most dynamic members of our faculty. We shall always remember Miss Sutherland. From Miss Suther- land’s teaching of English we learned the essentials that made it possible for us to edit an annual and news bulletin. Any of our future journalistic undertakings will have as its basis the gram- mar and creative writing we learned under her. Not only because of our love and respect for one who goes out of her way to be helpful, but because of her untiring effort in making the 1948 edition of The Green Knight a reality, it feels honored to have been dedicated to Miss Catherine Sutherland, our teacher and friend. -4 4
