Nm Homecoming Chills Coach Mike Moffet once said, They've learned to accept defeat, but ,not to like it Even at the Homecoming game, Coach? We had them beat Homecom- ing night, they just got lucky said Rene Montolvo. That's the game we really should have won . The Homecoming football game was the most emotional one of the year. Toan Dinh said, Seeing that referee raise his arms took everyth- ing out of me. I actually cried. The weather on Homecoming night did not attract as many fans as in preceeding years, but the spirit was still alive that night. The tem- perature was 48 degrees, the field was muddy, and some weren't sure how the game would turn outg but the people that did show up at the game were in high spirits. They ar- rived in high spirits, having spent the day decorating and getting geered up for the parade that never was. The DH-J Eagle Football Team didn't really lose. They played foot- ball because they enjoyed it and wanted to put up the toughest fight of their lives. TOP RIGHT: No one will ever know that I National Anthem is played. BOTTOM took the ball. Extra Grdinar People As the old saying goes, Being different pays off. Students and teachers who dressed and combed their hair differently or who had certain trademarks received atten- tion and were talked about often by everyone. They became known for the trademarks. When Sean Lyles was asked why he wore his hair punked, he said, Cause it's cool, and it's in style . Too many kids think that teach- ers are robots. The buttons display my feelings. They make me hu- man. said Ms. Montague when she was asked why she wore a different button everyday. These students and teachers probably try to be different so that they can be looked upon differently - or separately from ordinary people. .......-.-Y TOP RIGHT: Nobody ever told Shelley ln- man that big girls don't cry.
