A Powder Puff Celebration Long Live King Trey! If it’s “Spirit Week,” it must be time for Powderpuff Football. That’s when girls wear jersies, smear paint on their faces and act real tough. On Tuesday, October 3, the female football contingent at DHS were all psyched up to rip up the turf at Charles Bland Stadium. However, as the final buzzar sounded, the only ripped items were a few fingernails and a few false eyelashes. AT LEFT: Powder Puff King Trey Parsons smiles proudly as Senior Julie Poetz gives him a congratulatory hug. LOWER LEFT: Senior Scott Hastings was happy to be the first atten- dant to Trey. In case King Trey should pose for any questionable magazine, photo, Scott will take over his duties. Scott's escort is Senior Rhonda Tucker. BOTTOM LEFT: Freshman Aaron Pixley was chosen second atten- dant. His escort was Tara Woods, also a Freshman. BOTTOM RIGHT: The Sophomore-Junior coaches learned that coaching a bunch of girls isn’t what It’s cracked up to be. They were Scott Hastings, Todd Backus and Kyle Dowdy. OPPOSITE PAGE TOP LEFT: The Freshman-Senior cheerleaders were Richard Smail, Mike Overfelt. Travis Adams. Kevin Corbin and Aaron Pixley. OPPOSITE PAGE BOTTOM LEFT: Kevin Medler, David White, Tony Stafford, Scott Becker and Matt Dube cheered for the Sophomore-Junior team. OPPOSITE PAGE TOP RIGHT: The Freshman-Senior teams gives us the old numero-Uno sign. OPPOSITE PAGE MIDDLE RIGHT: Seniors Michael Stites, Chuck Fowler, Trey Parsons, and John Holifield coached the Freshman-Senior team. By the end of the game the boys were literally “tearing out their hair.” Notice Michael’s bald head. OPPOSITE PAGE BOTTOM RIGHT: The Sophomore Junior team had the spirit but couldn't find the goal posts. 8
