Miss DBS Symbolizes the Spirit of Our School Being selected to the Miss DHS court is quite an honor. These young ladies represent the spirit of our school. They are not only beautiful; they are a vital part of the student body. They, like their fellow students, enjoy life at DHS. They are proud of their school and we are proud of them. At right: Miss DHS 1984 Jennifer Mouser sits atop a convertible waiting to ride down Stoddard Street in the fair parade. Jennifer is active in Varsity Band, FHA, FBLA, and Pep Club. Her hobbies include horseback riding, watching football games, swimm- ing, and playing alto sax in the DHS Band. She also enjoys being with her friends. “I feel honored and very surprised that I was selected to represent my school as Miss DHS!” Jennifer exclaimed. Bottom right: The 1983-1984 court consists of Miss DHS Jennifer Mouser escorted by Kevin West, First Runner-Up Molly Derryberry and her escort Brian Miller, Second Runner-Up Regina Clark escorted by Mark Schweiss and Retiring Queen Tracy Riggins ac- companied by Patrick Crawford. Page 5 — upper left: First Runner-Up Molly Derryberry is a member of Student Council, FBLA, FCA, and Pep Club. Molly also displays her sportsmanship as a member of the DHS volleyball and girl’s basketball teams. Molly said, “I was thrilled to even be nominated, but even more thrilled to be the first attendant.” Second Runner-Up Regina Clark enjoys her various activities at DHS which include Pep Club, FCA, and FBLA. Regina is a member of the Lady Cats softball team, along with being a cheerleader for both varsity wrestl- ing and football. She also enjoys camping. Miss DHS and her attendants not only have beautiful faces and winning smiles, but also enthusiastically join into stu- dent life through their activities in various clubs and organizations. Page 5 — upper right: Molly Derryberry gets in the swim of Student Council project, but near- ly drowns in a deluge of water during the annual STUCO car wash.
