Powder Puff is .. . Grabbing that flag, Making a touchdown! Run for your life!” yelled the head coach of the senior-sophomore team, Richard Darcy. With these words, Powder Puff '82 kicked off the Fall Spirit Week. Some 60 girls donned football jerseys and warpaint to vie against one another in the annual game. Senior football players acted as coaches. Richard Darcy, David Ward, Brad Miller, Bart Carter, Kent Land, Dean Derryberry, and Matt Elledge led the sen- ior-sophomore team. James Dudley, Dar- ren Burris, Gene Miller, Greg Booth, Tim Young, Chris Mofield, Perry May and Ke- vin McRoberts were the coaches for the junior-freshman squad. After a hard- fought game, the senior-sophomore team came out as the winners, 14-7. The two teams were cheered on by six very beautiful” freshman football play- ers. They consisted of Andrea Riley, Jefferia Dudley, Jimmy Fay Overall, Joanna” Dodd. Keitha Kay” McDonald, and Brianne Hinton. At halftime Claus Larsen was crowned the 1982 Powder-Puff King. The runners- up were Todd Poetz and Eric Jones. Other members of the Court were Richard Darcy, Mark Schweiss, Damon Dowdy, Brian Miller, and Lyle Allen. Powder Puff King Claus Larsen and his escort.
