’75 Reveille Adds Color; DHS Bearcat Places Third 28 Eight pages of color and a royalty section were added features to the 1975 Reveille. The 74-75 Publications class voted to produce a yearbook that would be received in August in order that all spring activities could be included. Inflation hit the yearbook business; this year's Reveille cost $10. In light of the price, the staff decided to produce a 208-page book and include the color section. Last minute work on division pages, features, and index was not finished until the last deadline, June 7. Bearcat staff members produced their last issue. The Senior Bearcat, on May 22. New features in the 1974-75 Bearcat included a Christian Comment column and periodic fun pages. The Bearcat received third place honors in state competition with schools of comparable size. Dean Adkins won a first place in the cartoon division with a cartoon depicting the ancient condition of the old junior high. At the annual awards assembly, editors awards went to Candy Poe and Nancy Tuley.
