Several DHS Clubs Host Special Events Each club at DHS hosts several special activities during the year. French Club invited Jannick Fosse to speak to its members and be their guest at a French dinner on April 3, 1975. FHA sponsored a Cerebral-Palsy Walk-A-Thon which raised over $1300 for the Cerebral-Palsy Foundation. Linda Belcher collected the most pledges and most money by completing the 10 mile trek. FHA also hosted the FHA Regional meet-ting. Approximately 250-300 girls attended. Skits, entertainment, and installation of new officers filled the day. Youth for Community Betterment is not a DHS club, but it is composed fo DHS students. On March 31, several YCB's combined with Student Council members to paint the fire hydrants in the downtown area. During Strawberry Festival Week, May 18-25, they sold strawberry designed stationery and used the proceeds to buy music for the Community Choir.
