DHS Beauties Reign Over Special Activities Throughout the school year at DHS there are many special activities. Many of these surround the coronation of DHS queens. During September each class nominates two girls to represent them in the Miss DHS contest. The 1974 contest was held in the auditorium with only Juniors and Seniors attending. Toward the end of football season, the football boys nominate girls to represent them during Homecoming festivities. On Friday night, Joe Satterfield escorted Renee Hathcock as she was crowned queen by Diane Hodder. On Saturday night, Ezekiel played for the Homecoming dance. In January the annual Snowflake Dance featured the crowning of Kim Teets, senior. Attendants represented each of the other classes anc were Linda Ayers, Donna Rickman, and Lori Keirsey. Beta Sigma Phi sponsored the Miss Dexter Contest April 7. From a field of 42 DHS girls, three were chosen to represent the community. Queen, Susan Taylor is a sophomore and will reign over various community activities throughout 1975. DHS Band queen was crowned at halftime of the Dexter-Chaffee football game. Four girls represented each class and Rhonda Black, senior and queen, then reigned over the Band Dance in December.
