REVEILLE 1969 DEXTER SR. HIGH DEXTER, MISSOURI 24th EDITION Faculty Pages 11-30 Royalty Pages 31-44 Organizations Pages 45-76 TABLE OF CONTENTS Sports Pages 77-102 3 Advertizing Pages 167-212 If someone were to ask you, “What is D.H.S.,” you would most assuredly have to answer, its just a high school building. In fact that’s all D.H.S. really is, just a high school building. However, when you add these ingredients, a student body, a faculty, and an administration, it becomes something real, wonderful, and full of life. We, as seniors, for four years have been a part of that life. Now, once again D.H.S. for us will become just a high school building. So to keep the memory of our school alive and return the life to D.H.S. when we look upon its brick walls, the yearbook staff of nineteen hundred and sixty-nine takes pride in presenting the Reveille. 4 IN RECOGNITION Once in every person’s lifetime they have the opportunity to know someone who unselfishly gives of herself for the betterment of youth. Miss Alberta Schnakenberg is such a person. For many years she has been an outstanding teacher as well as an inspiration for students who wish to make music their chosen profession. Whether she is known in association with teaching or as a citizen of our community she has the respect and admiration of all. SENIORS PARTICIPATE IN WE TURNED AROUND We turned around and there D.H.S. lay; We were freshmen and on our way. Spring gave the world a new birth; Theirs was peace and happiness on earth. We turned around and D.H.S. was our home; We were sophomores and out on our own. Summer brought growth to the young; They were out to dance and have fun. We turned around and D.H.S. was our life; We were juniors and taking it in strife. Fall brought the young maturity to face; Responsibility now set their pace. We turned around and D.H.S. was gone; We were seniors and sadness was our song. Winter brought the lines of age; The seniors went their separate ways.
