FIIRWARD ln writing a forward to the 1955 LOG the staff would like to explain the theme. We have chosen Through These Portals because we feel that each segment of the book expresses some part of student life. The portals are the avenues of student activity: sportsp clubsp classesp and activ- ities. We have recorded some highlights from each of these phases as well as memories of the lighter side of our stay here at Dexter High School. The graduating class looks upon the book as a record of their senior year in high school. We have tried to show both the serious and fun sides of this year for them.
