CLASS OFFICERS: Rosalie Hoey, secretary, Dave Miles, president, Fred Fauser, vice- president, Nancy Wheeler, treasurer. CLASS HISTGDRY The class of i955 took its place in the line of graduates when the first class meet- ing was held. George Tanner was elected president, Ray-Fialkowski, vice-president, Lorna Knisely, secretary, and Rosalie Hoey, treasurer. Marjorie Hawes and Jack LaRosa were Student Council representatives. With the help of Miss McCarty and Mr. Larson we began to feel we were becoming a part of D.H.S. Savings for the Senior trip started with concessions and dances after the games. The sophomore year passed smoothly. The high spot of the year was the winning of the homecoming trophy for our float, Lick 'Em. Bill Tupper served as president, Joe Weber, vice-president, Rosalie Hoey, secretary, and Sandra Gale, treasurer. Mari Bradbury and Dave Miles were student council representatives. Mrs. Hays, Mrs. Bole, and Mr. Wendt were our advisors. Moving into our Junior year the class realized that the years were moving by rapidly. Once again Bill Tupper was elected president, Art Simms, vice-president, Rosalie Hoey, secretary, and Nancy Wheeler, treasurer. Jack La Rosa and Barbara Bucholz were the Student Council representatives. The Penny Carnival, scrap drive, and Christmas card sales brought in profit to build up the treasury. We put on the Prom with the theme, Southern Starlight and gave the play Murder Mansion. The Plastics dinner was the finishing touch to a very busy year with the help of our advisors Mrs. Hays, Mrs. Devine and Mr. Stoddard. Who can believe it? At last! is what many members of the class said as they entered their senior year. Offices were held by Dave Miles, president, Fred Fauser, vice-president, Rosalie Hoey, secretary, and Nancy Wheeler, treasurer. Once again the position of Student Council representatives were held by Barbara Bucholz and Jack La Rosa. Dick French served as Student Council president. The Homecoming trophy was won again by the class of 1955. The theme of our float was, We'll make ie of Manchester. Lorna Knisely made the class proud when the football squad selsected her as the Homecoming Queen. A magazine drive and a three act comedy, The Board- ing House Reach gave us another chance to show our dramatic talents and to raise the funds in the treasury.. The class embarked May 'l8th for a five day trip to New York City. A good time wasf had b every senior and they all said it was more than was expected. The days flew quicklly by and before we knew it, we fa little nervous, were accepting our dip omas and taking the last glimpse of D.H.S. A class of fifty-two seniors graduated saying goodbye to their advisors, Mr. Bergstrom, Mrs. Devine and Mrs. Hays, and to t e students and faculty of Dexter High School.
