Krull, J. Karvel, M. Ziegler. The Student Council convened for the first time on October 26 and elected the following officers: President, Fran Piddg Vice-President, Eugene Thornton, Secretary, Barbara Bucholzg Treasurer, Edwin Coy, Mr. Raymond Miller, adviser. At this meeting the Council decided to make the vice-presi- dent of each class a member of the student governing body thus enlarging the representation of the group. An innovation in procedure this year is the publishing of the minutes of all meetings for the information of the entire student body. A delegation of six members accompanied by Mr. Miller at- tended the Council on Citizenship at the University of Michigan on October 28, and reported to the local group many good ideas obtained there. Some of the activities of the Council this year were: sell- ing milk to the students at lunch timeg promoting noon hour dances, selling UDextern sweat shirts: re-writing the constitu- tion of the Council, turning over the management of the paper room to the junior class. During the year the council sponsored an all school assembly program featuring a harpistg another presented a world traveler and lecturer, and a third was a magician.
