High Eddie Keller was our Master of Ceremonies and the dance was held in the fair build- ing. Fright flowers dates, special dresses and the boys still stayed in one end of the room and the girls in the other We were traveling fast and we had come to our tenth year Mr Davidson had consented to be our sponsor We chose Johnny McClure for president and Emily Orloski as our camival queen with Dewayne Kite as her escort Sharon Middlebusher was football attendant with Hoppy Reese as her escort For basketball homecoming Peggy Harbour and Beth Means were Sophomore attendants Dan Gilliland was Peggy s escort and Johnny McClure was Beth s The cheerleaders from our class were Joan Nichols and Beth Means Our Junior year was big good and full Mr Brown and Mrs Campbell were sponsors We decided to keep a good thing since we had it and asked Jolmny McClure to be our presi dent again Paula Martin represented our class as football attendant that year with Johnny McClure as her escort For basketball we had Sharm Middlebusher and Hoppy Reese and Emily Orloski and Eddie Keller We were proud and busy that year Mick Crocker was elected vice president of State Student Council and our Junior boys helped win the Norman baseball tournament Larry Middlebusher had the best showmanshrp award in the fat stock show Paula Martin and Peggy Harbour received the high school art awards Kaye Ren frow received the merit award in Larriettes Patt Peterson hmored us all year by being a super drum majorette Emily Orloskr went to Girls State and Bill Harrison to Boys State and Patt Peterson was viewed on nation wide TV m Wrde Wide World Hoppy Reese was chosen for All Conference in football Band attendant that year from our class was Betty Toney escorted by Anthony Means Cheerleaders, who did us proud, were Joan Nichols and Beth Means We had our Jtmrcr play our first real one It was Beauty and the Beef Ioan Nichols and Eddie Keller had the leading roles Mrs Purdnm directed fa us We started the year 39 in the hole we made S500 and had the biggest prom ever with our theme taken from Kismet We kept our very able president Johnny McClure for our Senior year Main School cheerleader was Joan Nichols and Senior cheerleader was Beth Means Om' Sponsors this year were Jon Finch Jo Thompson and Charles Hankins Our Senim play was The Cat and the Canary and starred Emily Orloskr co starring Eddie Keller The speech class play was Sorry Wrong Number starring Joan Nichols At football homecoming in o'ur attendants were Betty Toney escorted by co captain Johnny McClure and Lois Vermillion escorted by Bub LeUnes Patt Peterson was chosen as basketball sweetheart and was escorted by captain Larry Miller Her attendants were Peggy Harbour escorted by Charles Fluty and Linda Whittenburg escorted by Dan Gilliland High school sweethearts were Joan Nichols Hi Y Jackie Morris F F A Kay Renfrow T and I Bub LeUnes and Lois Vermillion were chosen as annual royalty Those chosen as officials in various activities were Bill Harrison president of H1 Y Peggy Harbour president of Larriettes Anthony Means captain of Band Sharon Mrddlebusher president of Y Teens Emily Orloski president of Glee Club Virginia Wolfram annual editor Berlie Pyle president of T and I Eddie Keller president of Stu dent Cotmcil Dewayne Kite president of F F A and Mike Crocker State Hi Y Lieuten ant Govemor At the band cornation Frances Blenden was crowned queen by Mike Crocker Attendants were Donna Chevalley escorted by Benton Lewis and Patt Peterson escorted by Jimmy Shull Senior boys making All Conference for football were Johnny McClure Eddie Keller and Danny Lemmons All in all we think we ve accomplished quite a bit in grades talent looks and honors With personal pride we think our Senior Class is a pretty good class in fact SEC OND TO NONE, Senior year Kaye Renfrow was queen almg with Eddie Keller as football captain, Her

5 5 The Class of 1958 59 began rts eventful career on September 3 1947 Our teachers that year were Mrs Clodfelter and Mrss Lowe and we started rr t wrth one tempestuous member recervrng a spankrng because of hrs reluctance to leave hrs mother But all rn all we were a happy group and we sang I m a lonely lrttle peturrra rn an onron patch wrth gusto Through hot competrtron for crown bearer and flower grrl chosen from the frrst grade Eddre Keller and Patt Peterson won out and we proudly harled our frrst royalty We ve been a closely knrt class from that trme on Trme rolled on relentlessly The second year brought us Mrs Means and Mrss Allen We were proud when Mrke Crocker was chosen mascot of the school band and pranced rn hrs own unrform Also we nearly dred of excrtement rootrng for our favorrte contestants rn the Jacks ccntests whrch were held at recess perrods When rt was trme for our thrrd year Mrs Farrow and Mrs Arnold took over our gurdance Romances were buddrng we were very experrenced people by then you know and we be gan to show some defrnrte srgns of rndrvrdualrty wrthrn the confrnes of our group The forrrth grade turned us topsy trrrvey wrth a whole new way of dorng thrngs Where before we had only two teachers to astound with our feats of genrus we now had frve They were Mrs Foster Mrs Srmmons Mrs Dry Mrs Wrlson and woops a man Mr Rarnwater That was the year we offered the public our brg productron Dandelron Jubrlee Eddre Keller was the star of the show and our forrrth grade girls made up the glamorous chorus rne of garden posres Remarkable! Another astoundmg fact that we had that year was our frrst camrval krng and queen Jackre Morrrs escorted by Dan Grllrland The frfth grade brought us Mrs Nrchols and Mr Campbell As camrval krng and queen drrected by Mrs Nrchols Our srxth year began calmly enough Mrs Nichols and Mr Hagan were our teachers We had our frrst taste of drama that year wrth vanety shows Our boys were begrnnrng to show therr athletic abrlrty and the grrls began to encourage them wrth therr begrnnrng pep club and cheerleaders who were Sandra Vermerre Judy Fielder Peggy Harbour Joan Nrchols and Jackre Morrrs We got to follow om' boys to the Vera tournament Brg deal! Kaye Renfrow and Anthony Means were chosen for our carnrval royalty that year Some clashes wrth the teachers this year a herd of cattle tramprng up the stairs many names came later We were a brg class Teen town was boomrng and they were makrng room for even us We made a memorable trrp to Wooloroc Then we started Iunror Hrgh We had come qurte a way Mrs Myers and Mr Mrtchell were our sponsors rn sprte of wamrng from predecessors Peggy Harbour was class presrdent that year Jackre Morrrs and Lrnda Gabel were cheerleaders from our class We had a oot ball attendant She was Ioan Nrchols and her escort was Johnny McClure We trred to re form and we had the best hrgh school assembly program of the year Our erghth year brought us Mrs Wrnn and Mr Scott as sponsors and Sharlene l-lrll as presrdent Peggy Harbour and Joan Nrchols were cheerleaders and that year we had a brg Pepperette dance It was also the year of a brg bang up Chrrstmas Dance rn the old gym Some smartalec kept tumrng off the lrghts Also hayrrdes came rnto exrstence for us Lrnda Gabel was queen and Eddre Keller was krng for camrval royalty Mrss Krnne and Mr Mrtchell were our sponsors rn the nrnth grade We had a pretty good year under the leadershrp of our presrdent Johnny McClure Thrs was the year we drscovered for sure that there were other towns besrdes Dewey Jackre Morrrs and Ioan Nrchols were our cheerleaders and they went everywhere proudly wrth our ball teams Elvrs came rnto berng that year along wrth other earth shakrng events and then came grad uatron It was a brg event and we were rn the largest graduatrng class to ever hrt Dewey , I I . . .ghp , l. we chose Joan Nichols and Dale Cleveland.
