Each organization is allowed one member. Members must maintain a B average. From August 14 to August 19, 1955, a state student council workshop was held on the University of Tulsa C ampus. Jerry Middlebusher, Freddy Clark, and Wilma Montgomery attended from Dewey. Jerry Middlebusher, Robert Cooper, Glenda Schuber, and Janis Golden were delegates to the state student council convention held in Ponca City Demceber 1,2, and 3, 1955. Dewey was elected an alternate to send a delegate to National Convention in Toledo, Ohio, June 13 to 18, 1956. Student Council accomplishments during this year include making and flying the victory flag, scheduling assembly programs, installation of officers and members before the student body, conducting a panel discussion for P, T, A. , setting up spring enrollment for high school students, and sponsoring a school high and regular honor roll, aside from state honor society.
