Cf U0 JA Z,f1sr4c1lAr1ff Season The Dewey Bulldogger s started their season with Bartlesville December 3 Bartlesville won 34 to 21 December 7, Dewey had a basketball clinic Dewey played Ochelata and Barnsdall winn ing both Ramona also won two games The Dulldoggers went to the semi finals in the Cleveland Tournament from there on showed great improvements One of the best games of the season was played at Nowata In the last minute we won the game by a free throw awarded on s double foul In a return game with Bartlesville, they were able to hold Bartlesville to a short lead, 22 to 32 Dewey went to the semi finals in the District Tournament with Bominy In the last few minutes, Hominy scored, winning the game This ended our basketball season of 1943-44 Wallace Kite Howard Courtney Junior Hose, llmer Sprague and Carl Ropp were the only letter len back this year This was usually the starting line up exnept for Dean Clark a Junior This was Dean's first year but he played like an old hand Wallace Kite was high point man for the B P88011 Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Bs tlesv lle Bartlesville Ochelata Ramona Barnsdall Barnsdall Barnsdall Hominy Hominy Claremore Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Dewey Claremore Dewey Lll'llOl' J This years Jr High teen won 16 out of 18 games played This will give an excellent group of material for the next three years teams This group scored 393 points to their opponents 234 Before the season was finished it became hard to get games with Jr High teams so we had to play Sr High 'B' teams Hr Clodfelter served as coach of this team The games lost were one with Dartlesville and one with Ralston Our only reply to these losses are we played Bartlesville four times winning 3 of them rather decisively The other with Ralston was played 30 minutes after playing a hard game in a tournament We lost to a very fine teal.
