lldrdlicrlomemayle-PQ F' Owxf-iowa The Future Homemakers of Oklahoma is an organization which came into being in 1937 and the first Dewey Chapter was formed in the year 193s-:O under the leadership of Edith Robinson. The purpose of the club is to increase the interest and broaden the scope of home- maning for all girls. The club of l94o-41 was guided by their president, Maxine Eeeler, in more activities. Our aim is to be good homemakers, better citizens and do a Sgpvice for ourselves and our country. A Girl's Creed I believe that the home is a womans natural environment. I believe that there is as much art in making a barren houle into a glistening, comfortable home as there is in painting a picture or in writing a poem. I believe that there is dignity and beauty in service, that as a career for woman, homemaking offers greater opportunity for leisure, for growth ol mind and spirit, and for exercise of the body, than any other occupation. I believe that one who has the intelligence to keep her own house in order is wise enough to be a force in any community. It is my desire to be one of the countless women of the world to make life sweeter and better because I live and do my work well. -Grace Noll Cromwell. px' 25:2 : v.vL1 K! 5.1 '-41'-sf .,..- .Leaf 'nifuvf gxl -4 A 5 nd yf, Ill' Officers Presidentsouooonoocoou osoocoma-xi-ne Beeler Vice-President...... . ...Helen Hanna Secretary, Treasurer.........Murna Case Sponsorooc oooncaooooaoos nooM1SS Marle Haber Membership Eula Chance Pearl Hanna Alyce Laird Glenda Artz Ruth Hacker Louise Green Helen Burget Evelyn Cooper Betty Beinroth Ruth Ann Cooper Doreen Atkinson Bonita Sharpton Erma Jane Carroll Virginia Treadway Mary Frances Eakin
