EXECUTIVE OFFICER LT. COMMANDER DOUGLAS K. TURNER Lieutenant Commander Turner is a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, where he enlisted in 1963. He participated in the Naval Enlisted Scientific Education Program, graduating from Purdue University, and was commissioned an ensign in January 1969. His first tour of duty was aboard USS HARTLEY (DE 1029) where he served as CIC Officer and EMO. LCdr Turner attended the Naval Destroyer School in 1971 and then reported to the USS STEIN (FF 1065) as Opera- tions Officer. Following this tour he assumed command of USS TAWASA (ATF 92) in October 1973 homeport- ed in San Diego, California. During the period June 1975 to June 1978, LCdr Turner attended graduate school at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, where he earned an Engineers degree in Ocean Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration. Following a tour as Assistant Surface Operations Officer on the staff of Carrier Group Five, he reported in May 1981 as Executive Officer of USS DEWEY. LCdr Turner is married to the former Maureen Carlson of Worcester, Massachusetts. They have a daughter) Leigh.

COMMANDING OFFICER CAPTAIN HARLAN L. MORRISON Captain Harlan L. Morrison was born II February 1939 at Detroit, Michigan. He was graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1961. Following commissioning as an ensign in June 1961, he began his service aboard USS FISKE where he served as First Lieutenant, Combat Information Center Officer and Weapons Officer until March 1964. In April 1964 he was assigned to USS LUCE as CIC officer until 1966. Captain Morrison then joined the staff of Commander Destroyer Division 182 as Operations Officer until September 1967. From then until March 1970 he attended the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School and was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Operations Research Systems Analysis. Following Post Graduate School he was reassigned and served until May 1971 as Assistant Senior Advisor, Fleet Type Command in the Naval Advisory Group, MACV, Viet- nam. In August 197! he reported to USS ALBANY, serving as CIC Officer through July 1973. He served as Operations Officer onboard USS JOUETT through August 1975 and then as Executive Officer onboard USS STERETT through October 1977. Captain Morrison assumed command of USS DEWEY on II June 1980 after a tour of duty on the Staff of the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet. Captain Morrison ' s decorations and medals include the Bronze Star with Combat Distinguishing Device, Mer- itorious Service Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation (Naval Advisory Group, Vietnam), Republic of Viet- nam Honor Medal (First Class), Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm (unit aw ard). Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign MedaL Captain Morrison is married to the former Carolyn Mead of Douglas, Georgia. They have two children) Karia and Kevin.

COMDESRON TWENTY-FOUR CAPTAIN GREGORY F. STREETER Captain Gregory F. Streeter entered the Navy in 1953 as a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps midshipman at Marquette University. One year later he received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy from the Secretary of the Navy. Upon gradua- tion and receipt of his commission as an ensign in 1958, he reported aboard USS GLENNON where he served as Damage Control Assistant and Engineering Officer. In 1962 Captain Streeter was ordered to USS LAWRENCE where he served as Engineering Officer during the blockade operations of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Captain Streeter attended the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School from 1963 through 1965, earning an advanced degree in Ordnance Engineering. Subsequently, he served for six months as Assistant Weapons Officer onboard USS WILLIAM V. PRATT and for two years as Weapons Officer on USS FARRAGUT. In 1968 Captain Streeter reported to the Chief of Naval Material for duty with the Strategic Systems Project Office. There he headed the Test and Operations section which had primary responsibility for all Polaris and Poseidon flight test programs. He then served as Executive Officer of USS LUCE from November 1970 until September 1972. Captain Streeter was Commanding Officer of USS WILLIAM R. RUSH until June 1973 and then attended the Naval War College until July 1974. Following the War College, he assumed command of USS BARRY. While in command of BARRY, the ship received the Surface Force Atlantic Electronic Warfare Award and the Atlantic Fleet Arleigh Burke Fleet Trophy. In May 1976, Captain Streeter reported to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, where he served in several capacities until 30 October 1981, when he assumed command of Destroyer Squadron Twenty-Four. Captain Streeter ' s awards include the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and Legion of Merit. Captain Streeter is married to the former Anna Rose Palermo of Philadelphia. The Streeter ' s have four children! Gregory, Christine, Michelle and Carol.
