Thanks so much SENIORS i 4 ....--- STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Councrl rs a new addrtlon to Dewar School The members of the Student Coun ell are to set a good example for the other students uf- The councrl and teachers try to find out 1f everythtng ts satisfactory to the students and rf there are any new suggestrons to be made and what we can do about them The student council and Mr Clifford are working on hand books to grve to the students The hand books will tell all about how rt operates school colors song and just about everythrng per crate them NATIONAL ASSEMBLIES The students have been permitted to see three National Assembly programs thrs year There are three more scheduled and the prices of these most mformattve programs have only been flve and ten cents not nearly enough to cover the actual cost of these performances It is rumored the prrces are to be rarsed next year Some of the performances witnessed included talking bird experrments in electricity lectures about foreign countrres Interesting personal expcrrences varrous types of musicians and many others of Interest Nlnty eight per cent of all performances have been thoroughly enjoyed by the students This Is a good batting average tn any man s book. They have been most enlightening and we are looking forward to the coming performances 4 H CLUB I pledge My head to clearer thinking My heart to greater loyalty My hands to larger service and My health to better living for My club my community and my country Dewar 4 H Club is composed of fifty members, drawn from the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth grades. For the year 1954 55, officers are Kenneth Durbin, President, Bill Gollghtly, Vice President, Sally Hatfield, Secretary, Thela East, Game Leader, and Doris Deal, Song Leader. Individual projects vary from home making projects for the grrls through such thlngs as gardening, hunting and fishing, and electrification projects for the boys.
