BILLY WATSON TO BILLY As I sit at my desk And silently stare I see there before me A lone empty chair Where once sat a boy With a smile on his face lt seems to us now No one takes his place His eyes always shown On his face not a frown With just enough teasing To please those around Not once did I scold him That he failed just to grin To be mean or resentful Just wasn't in him In Memoriam A handsome young man His life just begun We can't understand Such a short race was run His classmates all loved him So willing to do Anything that was asked him Oh, how the time flew To lose such a young life We can't understand I'm sure he'd have been Such a wonderful man But this world is a stage Where each plays his part This boy's role was over A new one to start I'm glad to have shared A small part of his life To me he brought happiness ln a world filled with strife There'll be many students To pass through these halls But there's one thing, Billy You were loved by us all And as the years pass And time heals our hearts May we as actors Like you play our parts May we use some of your smiles To cover our tears For we know you are happy All gone are your fears ' And as you look down On us from above May we all inherit Just a part of your love Jwtwwww Qwf i 1
