M. M. WHITNER We have chosen you, Mrs. Miller and Mr. Whitner, to receive the dedication of the 1957 EAGLE. These reasons prompted our decision: 1. Because of your interest and loyalty to our school. 2. Because you get along with people and are well liked by all who work with you. 3. And above all, because you are so reliable, so patient, so friendly, and so understanding. We are proud to make this dedication to both of you, Mrs. Miller and Mr. Whitner. We hope that it is an indication in part of the feel- ing that the students of this school have for you and, in some measure, a show of appreciation for what you have done for us. Yours is a special responsibility - to uphold a superior tradi- tion of scholarship, to strive to become a well rounded citizen, and to adhere to only those practices which will develop you physically, mentally, and morally. It has been a distinct pleasure and privilege for me to work with you these three years and I extend to you, each and every student, my sincere good wishes for a useful and happy future. Success and happiness can be yours! As your guide to success and happiness, may I say - Four things a man must learn to do. If he would make his record true; To think without confusion clearly, To love his fellow man sincerely, To act from honest motives purely. To trust in God and Heaven securely Superintendent KEYNOTE SPEECH (PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE) Congratulations to the Seniors of 1957. Having completed these four years of high school work, you are now assuming the role and its responsibilities of a citizen and leader in your community, state, and nation.
