The largest grade in the upper school has many names on the honor roll and sport programs. Lovell, Nelson, Hawn, Wines, Poole, and Roosa are the intellectual members on the honor roll. Lynn Poole and Burton Raimi won the lower divisoion of the debating contest, a sure indication of things to come. Turnbull, Howlett, Smith, Andrew, Jim Richardson, Rovner, Cooper, Demp- sey, and Wines all give promise of athletic ability in one sport or another. Guest, Biscombe, and Raimi gave help in putting over this year's play. An ample supply of scholarship and competitiveness will mark the class for the future. seventeen

The class of 55 promises to be an outstanding group in its junior and senior years. It is composed of such fine debaters as Earle McGarvah and Bob Tann. The class' is not lacking in the athletic department with such star players as Tom Hardy, Walt Belenky, and Pete Hankins. Doug Bady should make the baseball team next year. With such players as Frank Lovell and Bob Lemke the golf team should be outstanding. Wolfe, Ellerbeck, Beaver, and Collins should slet records in track. Altogether this class promises to be unexecelled in the years to come.

Ridge Among the members of the eighth grade of high intellectual students is James Giannarisi who represented Detroit Country Day in the district spelling bee. The literary touch which finds expression in the Yellow Jacket is ably supplied by Fred Emerich. In the science field Richard Marsh is tops. The officers of the class are: Richard Chosid, president, John Gaylord, vice- presidentg James Giannari, secretary, and Daniel Morgan, treasurer. The class prefect is Carl Budd. There are many outstanding athletes in the eighth grade-in football: Daniel Morgan, Richard Chosid, and James Giannarisg in basketball: Ronald Ridge and John Gaylord: in baseball: Jeffery Tann, Cam- eron Buchanan, Carl Budd, Bill Reid, and Boyd Knowlsong and, in track: Samuel Wright and Robert Hamina.
