CLASS PROPHECY As I, Royetta Beamand, walked down the hall of the We Cure Or Kill Hospital, I ran into a man who looked very happy. I was very surprised when it turned out to be Martin Hogrefe, one of my old classmates. He told me his wife, Lois Rettig, another classmate, had just given birth to triplets, three boys, Tom, Dick, and George. He asked me to have a cup of coffee with him, so we could discuss our great Senior Class of 1961. Ralph Pendleton has just come into a great deal of money and was a middle-aged playboy. I guess it has always been hard for him to fight off all those girls. Robert Knapp owns the Town Hall in Toledo. His chief attractions are Kathie Hagen, Brenda Miller, and Marianne Wensink. Patti Friesel, Karen Rosebrook, and Fred Crouch own a chain of clothing stores for men and women with wash tub figures. Senators Dave Willier and Robert Gerdeman are aiding a bill to require all policemen to carry canes. Tom Yarnell is President of the 2000 Yarnell Alfalfa Mills in 41 countries. Dave Papoi is now a Chinese philosopher who sells stale fortune cookies for fun and profit. Cookie Steffen became President of the United Nations when she persuaded Russia to change their iron curtain to nylon. Andy Johnson is head of the National Education Assn. He has appointed Mr. Jones and Mr. Burke chairmen of a program to build a farm for worn-out school teachers. Jim LOOPIE Goller is a pilot for TWA and part time bar tender at the L M Club. Rob Leiendecker has joined the Peter Gunn Detective Agency and has been very successful. Hartwell Pelton is manager of the Cleveland Indians. They have won 125 games straight with the help of his most valuable player, Jim Burkey, who has hit 25 home runs in one game more then once. Here in the next presidential campaign. Sue Marchal is going to run for President, if elected, she will see that every home has a picture of her in it. Jim Sunderman has his own band. They have won world wide acclaim, for his outstanding players are Judy Van De Bussche on clarinet and Ron Panning on drums. His vocal singer is the one and only Wilma Sunderman. Gene Rader is now the richest man in the US. They have to dig down to get him out of bed every morning. Sharon Bishop designs Tracy Lynn fashions in Paris. Her top model is Joyce Phillips. Jerry Meyer operates a large chicken farm and owns a Lincoln Mark IV. Rena Gerken is a professional kleptomaniac. She received her basic training in chemistry class dur- ing her Senior year. Gary Gribbell now has his own law firm and specializes only in divorce cases. His latest case was steel heiress, Dolores Hogrefe, and a 50 year old midget. She charged him with mental cruelty. Every time she bent down to kiss him his wig fell off. Ford has employed Herb Behrman, winner of the Indianapolis 500 Speedway of 1982, to test the strength of their cars by running them into a brick wall. Barb RED Gerdeman, women world champion wrestler, is now the featured attraction at the Sports Arena owned by Darrell Knepper. Ron Casteel has designed the first successful interplanetary missile. Steve Price, Don Jackson, and Howard Romaker have invented a car that will detect all police cars within 10 miles. They have sold 1,200,000 of them. Carolyn Von Deylen is Queen of the Movies. Darla Rauch is President of Westhope University. Don Wagner has just made his first million dollars from his business enterprise Wagner's Honey Inc. Leonard Rutter celebrated his 25th anniversary in the trucking business. Mrs. Rutter, the former Jeanne Scharf, and their four sets of twins were among the honored guests. Lester Drewes won the Novel Prize in Wormology this year for his book, A Day in the Life of a Night Crawler. Junior Powell owns the winner of this years Kentucky Derby, Daffy. The horse was ridden by Wayne Mohring, the nation’s top horse jockey. Dale Conklin owns and operates a beauty shop under the name Dale Cohrs. Dave Ruskey just returned from a whaling trip to Ireland. He landed a 20.000 pound whale and now he has blubber all over the place. Nonnie Blue is the wife of a 5-star General stationed in Germany. Dr. Mary Jane Gerschutz, famous surgeon on cauliflower ears, has just completed a successful oper- ation of prizefighter Tom KILLER Cain. The Elephant Hop, created by Donna Rickenberg, is very popular with the younger set. John Watson is making a career of the Army and is now a Brigadier General. He is being investigated by Senator Ron Wink. Fred Panning and Cal Massmann own the biggest and best bar in Henry County. Due to financial dif- ficulties it is going out of business, it seems the owners drink all the profit. Since it was time for me to go back on duty, Martin and I departed feeling proud of the Senior Class of 1961.
