For some of us this room had a sentimental value, for it was the room where we began our school career In the first grade. Our class advisors were Mr. Meyer and Mr. Burke. Our class officers were: President....................Gary Grlbbell Secretary..............Royetta Beamand Vice President...................Jim Burkey Treasurer................Rob Leiendecker In the Halloween parade our float, Known But To God,” won second prize. October 17 and 18 were the days we ventured over to Fostorla to have our pictures taken. They ar- rived December 9, we sure were a good-looking bunch of Seniors. Five boys made Varsity, namely; Howard Powell, John Watson, Lester Drewes, Steve Price, and Jim Burkey. April 8 thru 13 were the days of our Senior class trip to Washington D. C. We all had a very good time and wish we could take the trip again, only have a longer stay. May 6, 1961, was the date of the Junior-Senior Prom. The Juniors gave us a very nice prom and we appreciated it very much. May 16, today, is Senior Day. It is a day that will be remembered by most of us. It is really the last day of school we will have. May 21, 1961, is the long-waited-for day. Baccalaureate and Commencement will soon be here. It should be a happy day for us, but inside we will all be sad. There are many of our classmates we will never see again. As they all say, I wish I were a Freshman and had it all to do over again.” Will and Testament Friends, teachers, and fellow members of this excellent establishment for personal betterment and heirs of the Senior Class of 1961, city of Deshler, county of Henry, state of Ohio. In these last few minutes left in Deshler HI, we the Seniors have taken upon ourselves the task of willing our better qual- ities and intellectual knowledge. We the Seniors declare this our last and final Will and Testament. We the Seniors will to: Mr. Jones, this school. Now that the controling interest of the School Board is graduating, we hope you can still run it! Mr. Burke, the entire Junior class. Be brave, next year you will have the Sophomores! Mr. Meyer, one large bottle of tranquilizers, that's the least we can do! Remaining Faculty, our sympathy. Just think, you will never have another class as well-behaved, honest, studious, polite, well-mannered, good-looking, modest, kind, courteous, friendly, and intelligent as we were. I, John Watson, being of sound mind and body, do not will anything to anybody. I like what I have and I'm going to keep it. Now we can at least cross the street. I, Hartwell Pelton, will my position as manager of the Deshler Pirates to Leslie Spangler. Now Mr. Pace has height at last.
