Oh for a refreshmq vacahonl We all rushed home on the 23rd to emoy our Chnstmas vacatlon The Chnstmas Tournament started on the 27th at Grand RCIp1dS All too soon 1t was t1me for us to go back to school on Ianuary 3 The Sen1ors sponsored a flshfry on Ianuary 13 It was a huge success On the 23rd the 5 N-44.8 5 Yi .fl 1 4,5 lvl upper 40! of the Senlor class went to Mallnta for the scholarshlp tests and two days later the Iunrors v1s1ted Malmta for Career Nlqht Thanks to the Iunlors we had a very n1ce Sweetheart Dance held on the evenlnq of February ll W1lbur Frsh the very talented bell nnqer entertamed the whole school on February 15 Next We came the very rmportant basketball tournaments We were very successful agam thls year as the Iunlor I-hgh won the1r champlonshlp the Freshmen were runners up and the Varslty came out second best 1n the County W1th the basketball tournaments behmd them the boys started the1r new schedule for baseball

On the 15th everyone cleaned their guns and went hunting The 24th and 25th there was no school so We all had plenty ot time to digest our big Thanksgiving dinners Iim Sager and Margie Conklin were elected by the student body to reign as king and queen in the Halloween Parade The Seniors were proud to have the royalty from their class Again it was back to work as the Seniors started selling Christmas cards and the Iuniors sold very pretty scripture text napkins The first of December brought another half day of vacation due to a teacher's meeting. Five days later Dicken and Wonders visited us. This time it was to take the group pictures for the annual. Music and entertainment was presented by the elementary grades in their Xmas Operetta on December 21. Fun was had by all when we had our interclass volleyball games.

Congratulations to all the Pirates. Whoopee! Wash- ington's birthday and another day of liberty. The County Music Festival was held March 13. The most looked-forward-to event took place March 25 when the Seniors left for those three glorious days in Washington, D C All agreed it was worth Waiting and working For with the Seniors out of the Way the Iuniors started practicing for the big night when they presented their first class play The Perfect Idiot on April 6 Then 1n the early part of May the Seniors were honored with a grand banquet by the Iuniors A few days later brought Senior Day Baccalaureate May 20 and Corn mencernent May 22 finally arrived when the Senlors said farewell to their Alma Mater for the last time some sadly others gladly While the underclassrnen studied for final exams
