'ip Although M1 Merritt Burke had been with us but one semester, our appreciation of him was by no means in nropor tion to the length of his tay with us In that short time he had proved himself so valuable g part of our faculty that his departure w1s felt keenly We had discovered by then his willingness to cooperate with anyone, no matter what the task might be Although he gave up a great deal when he en tered into service for the United States Army, he did it with commendable willingness and checrfulnes In View of the above facts and to show our appreciation for all who sacrifice personal interests for the safety of our country we dedicate to him this 1942 Senior edition of the 'De H1 ,H 3 A Q .
