Eighth Grade Boys' Basketball This year's eighth grade boys' team was really on the ball winning second place in the Brophy tournament and the Sr. Mary's tournament. With only two losses the team captured the confer- ence title. This year's team was coached by Mr. Rick Ward. This year's eighth grade girls' basketball team got off to a great start by defeating Shea and Sunrise in their first two games of the season. Coach Rick Ward feels, The talent on this team, if molded into the proper form, should provide Desert Shadows a possible State Championship. His confidence in the girls was a boost to the morale of the team. Their en- thusiasm was demonstrated in their fantastic season.
