H0 ECOMI G 1964 Queen Penee and King Tom Performing before the royalty . . . Mr. Bowers Penee Phantz, cheerleader, and Tom Callahan, varsity quarterback, were elected by the student body to be Teeh's 1963 Homecoming King and Queen. Penee and Tom were crowned at the annual Homecoming' assembly on Thursday, Oct. 17 which featured talent numbers and skits. Aloma Kimpo and Jerry Berry, 1962 King' and Queen, were on hand to crown the new royal pair. The crowns Were carried by Terri Lynn Erickson and Dale Wheeler. Mr. Robert Bowers, art instructor at Drake University and a 1953 graduate of Tech, represented the alumni and gave a short talk. Mr. Bowers did his cadet teaching' here while attending: Drake. For the past few years, he has been with the Air Force as a jet pilot. Senior runners-up to the King and Queen voting: were Stan Thompson, varsity guard, and Barb Smith, cheerleader. Jerry Lafferty and Sue Chenoweth were the junior class winners while Larry Lewis and Stephanie Coeherell represented the sophomore class. Mr. Tom Cady and Miss Marcia Van Draska were faculty sponsors of the Homecoming' events. Mrs. Mary McManus, girls advisor, is in charge of all Tech's social events.
