.IJFX om.. gm ' One of the essentials of the high school is the office secretaries. Their duties are to deliver the mail, make special announcements, run errands, type absence slips, and aid Mr. Landis in any way they can. These girls give up their study halls in school to do this work. They were chosen for their honesty, dependability, manners, appearances and quietness. This is good training for the girls in their work for the future. They learn how to meet people, fol- low orders correctly, and many incidental things. Truly, the office force is an indispensable net- work in the high schools of today. Sfage fell! Iland me that hammer. ls this picture hanging straight '? Where does this furniture belong? Move the piano over here and sweep off the stage. Maybe you're wondering what all the racket is about. Well there is no need to get excited. lt's only the stage crew hard at work. Only in their second year, these boys behind the scenes did a superb job in pre- paring for most of our stage productions. These stage hands could always be seen busily doing their duty off stage. Many thanks should go to them and their very capable di- rector, Mr. Lewis. Left to Right: S. Mastrorocco, D. Platt, J Ritenour, K. Greubel, S. Akins, D. Chamber lain, D. Henderson, P. Rupert.

Hensler. ,v-fu WF' The Buskin Club activities include training juniors and seniors to become amateurs in the field of dramatics, and visiting a Pittsburgh theater where we see professional actors perform. The officers were elected at the first meeting held at the home of the Club's sponsor, Mrs. Kelvey, in October. Eugene McKelvey was chosen presidentg Stanley Burik, vice-presidentg secretary, Mary Ramsey, and treasurer, Connie Rhodes. The first play, A Modern Thanksgiving, contrasted the way our forefathers cele- brated the day, and the way modern civilization has transgressed from the original idea of a Thanksgiving celebration. In February we presented Lincoln The Man which related many interesting and unusual details of our Emancipatofs life. A high light of the year was our trip to Pittsburgh where we enjoyed seeing The Student Prince. We were thrilled with Cathie and her Prince, and disappointed that their love affair did not materialize. Nevertheless we were inspired and in our hearts we yearned to become professional. Under the guidance of their sponsor, Miss Robin- son, the girls have done quite a lot during the past year. First of all was the joyful Christmas Party that went off with a big bang-not mentioning the fun that was had while swimming at the Greensburg Y.M.C.A. With great enthusiasm for sports and activities the basket ball and volley ball tournaments were played. Not only did the tournaments prove to be fun, but also gave an opportunity for the teams to show their best. Congratulations, Miss Robinson, for such a successful and joyful year. Left to Right: M.
