The Student Council is one of the most important organizations in our school. They have the responsibility of sponsoring assemblies, dances, movies, and selling refresh- ments at the football and basket ball games. At the beginning of the year council members elected officers to guide them during the term and under their sponsor, Mr. Landis, the Student Council has proved to be ' ' ' ident Thomas Dillon, vice-president, 'Mary Ann worthwhile. Those servlng were pres , Doraziog secretary, Shirley Leone, treasurer, Glen Waiteg librarian, Marigrace Hensler. The funds from the year's activities were used to purchase equipment for the office, auditorium and gymnasium. Three members of the Student Council attended the State Student Government Con- ference at Kittanning on October 18, 19, and 20. Ideas and views on Student Govern- ment were given by students from various schools. These ideas will be used to make ours a happy, orderly, and more progressive school.
