Music Club MUSIC CLUB Elections, parties, recitals, contests . . . these are a few of the Music Club's yearly activities. This year, the members took turns or- ganizing monthly meetings. The points system was revised, and awards were given at the end. ofthe year. Club members also took part in Schubert Club activities, and in the annual music composition contest. G.A.A. According to the newly written con- stitution ofthe G.A.A., the purpose of this activity is to l'Promote athlet- ic endeavor, a competitive spirit, good sportsmanship, and to have fun. This purpose is carried out every Friday when a large number of the girls participate in G.A.A. The executive board plans and provides a variety ot activities to promote the interest of the members, such as horseback rides, tournaments, and the executive board over-night. Through the efforts ofthe officers and the advisor, Mrs. Kessler, G.A.A. is one of the most popular extra-curri- cular activities of the school. G.A.A. Officers: Jane Angvik. Absent: Mary Kay Bisanz, Anita Hissam, LE CERCLE FRANCAIS Le Cercle Francis. for second and third year French students, gives the students a richer meaning of the French language. Christmas and Spring editions of LE COR. the club paper, were planned and published. Ar the bimonthly meetings French entertainment was provided by the members. The Club also participated in the Mardi Gras. Fleur de Lis LE FLEUR de LIS In addition to Le Cercle Francais, the seniors were able to belong to a new French Club, Le Fleur de Lis. This year's seniors are the first to have completed the recently offered four year French curriculum. Mem- bership in the Le Fleur de Lis is an honor allowed only to those students who have mastered four years of Frenchg thus, this is the first year the club has been in existence. En- couraging the extended French . course. the club hopes that in the future it will expand to include many of those students presently in Le Cercle Francais.
