lass Hlslor August Z9 1955 was the startlng of hlgh school for the Freshman Class The members were Dwalne Evans, Dwalne Stewart Gary Schumann, Gary Throckmorton, Lloyd Mlller, Ray Barnes, Peggy Wolett, Ronnle Watson, and Rosemary Hall In December, DGISY Mae Cook came from Cambrla, and Ronnle and Mary Allsup came from Grand Rlver 1n March, maklng a total of twelve Freshmen We were 1n1t1ated ln September We went to Red Haw Lake for a plcnlc, then back to Derby for a dance Our teachers were Mr Agans, Mr Barnes, Mrs Barnes, and Mr Persels Our subjects were Algebra, Engllsh 1 Blology, Buslness Law, Home Economlcs, and Manual Tralnlng All of the Freshman and Sophomore classes Jolned to plck the offlcers of the two class The sponsor of the two classes was Mr Persels The offlcers were Larry Church, Presldent, Mlke McCann, Vlce Presldent, and Shelba Watson, Secretary Treasurer August 27 1956, we returned to school as Sophomores We lost Ray Barnes over the summer, leavlng us wlth eleven students Our sublects were Geometry Engllsh II General Sclence, World HISLOFY, and Algebra Our teachers were Mr Evans, Mrs Evans, Mrs Greenbank, and Mr Persels Our class sponsor was Mrs Evans Class offlcers were Dwalne Stewart, Presldent, Mary Allsup VlCS Presldent, and Peggy Wolett, Secretary Treasurer We returned to school August Z6 1957, as Iunlors, not loslng or galnlng any Typlng I Amerlcan HISEOTY, and Amerlcan Llterature Our teachers were Mr Evans Mrs Evans, Mrs Greenbank, and Mr Farmer We had our class play Scoop October 25, under the dlrectlon of Mrs Greenbank Aprll 26, we honored the Senlors wlth the Iunlor Senlor Banquet at the Cnarltone Hotel ln Charlton We recelved our Iunlor class rlngs shortly after school started Our class offlcers were Gary Throckmorton, Presldent Gary Schumann, Vlce Presldent Mary Allsup, Secretary Treasurer and Mrs Evans was our class sponsor September 1 1958 ten sophlstlcated Senlors returned for our last year of school We lost Dalsy Cook over the summer Shortly after school started Ronnle and Mary Allsup moved to Earlham, lowa, leavlng us wlth elght Students to flnlsh our Senlor year Baccalaureate was held May 17 1959, and Commencemert, May 21 Our teachers were Mr Burdock Mr Alexander, Mrs Greenbank, and Mrs Evans Our subJects were Typlng I1 Amerlcan Government, Shorthand, health and Engllsh Llterature Our class offlcers were Dwalne Evans, Presldent Ronnle Watson, Vlce Presldent, Gary Schumann, Secretary and Dwalne Stewart, Treasurer, our class sponsor was Mr Alexander O I I I l I I I .
