CLHSS UF 1948 KN F4 First row: B. Terpenning, B. Conway, M. Sliter, Mrs. Bieber, D. Hanrahan, M. Angelopolus, S. Latourette, P. Schwenz. Sec- ond row: C. Tuttle, N. Yale, D. Smith, D. Whitaker, L. Bennett, A. Lounsberry, H. Youngs, 1. Freiberg, A. Bradtke, C. Skillman. Third row: A. Howland, L. Chamberlin, R. Vaughn, F. Mc- Donald, L. VanSlyke, B. Martin, G. McElroy, K. Simmons. The noble and wondrous class of nineteen hundred and forty-eight A. D. began the year with stately elections. When the smoke cleared away it was found that Doris Hanrahan was presidentg Al Lloyd, vice-president, Mary Ellen Barnhart, secretary, Mary Ola Sliter, treasurerg and Mrs. Bieber as our capable adviser. The first event of the year was the bake sale. To say this was a success would be xm- der-rating it sorely, however, I will say that a few of our bakers were offered long term contracts by National Biscuit Co. We followed this by a series of suppers and dances a.nd the sale of personalized post- cards which' were very ultra-classy. We ended our year with the annual Junior Prom with the most bang-up decorations. Our beauteous Junior Queen helped the band to make a most beautiful and successful end- of-the-hop. 26
